I am a recent graduate from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, with a BS in Business Administration - International Business and a focus in Chinese. Because this program is relatively new, a degree in International Business required multiple Finance courses, which allowed me to learn many advanced statistical and mathematical concepts. In these classes, I often assumed an informal tutor role and helped my fellow students understand difficult points. In addition, I trained new employees during my tenure as Lab Manager of a campus computer lab.

Over the past 12 years, I have worked in both the private and public sectors of the education community. I have taught grades 7-12 in all areas of science. I have also been the director of a learning center, where I started as a tutor. The years of experience have taught me a great deal about children of all ages and abilities. As a substitute teacher in the Bethalto school district, I feel I have been trained in all of the subjects necessary to tutor students.
