I have always tutored friends and peers in mathematics. I spent the last year helping one of my good friends learn calculus and have volunteered as a tutor at Falmouth High School in Falmouth, Maine in order to help students learn algebra. The link that led me to this application described a position as an algebra tutor, something I would be very willing to do part-time. I am a college student who has taken calculus, calculus II, and multi-variable calculus. I have recieved A's in all of these classes and consider myself to be very capable of teaching high school level mathematics. My teaching style is student centered based upon their individual learning styles. I am a holistic grader who is able to reach and teach even the most difficult student, such as those who have acquired "learned helplessness".
