I have graduate degrees from Harvard and Johns Hopkins. I read seventeen languages.
I have children who are twenty one, seven, six, four, and two, as well as a granddaughter who is three. Throughout high school and college, I performed at an academic level well above average. As a result, I often found myself helping my fellow students. As part of my graduate assistantship at Missouri State, I work in the math tutoring lab several hours a week, tutoring (primarily) algebra and calculus students. I received a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in Secondary Mathematics (grades 9-12) from Missouri State University. Having always enjoyed math, I was able to pick it up easily. During the last 5 years, I have helped my peers who are struggling in their math classes understand the math concepts while having fun doing it. A Little Bit About Me...

Earlier on in my college education, my plan was to apply to Law School at MU, the university I was attending at that time. To apply, one was to have a Bachelor's degree in the area of their choice. I have always been fascinated by people . . . the way they think, how they learn, why they do what they do, etc., so I chose to major in psychology. Toward the end of my Bachelor's degree, my husband and I started a family, and the more and more I thought about things, the stronger I felt about choosing a career that was more conducive to family life . . . so I changed career paths and chose to become an elementary teacher.
