I spent three Summers working as a volunteer, teaching reading to children of Hungarian refugees in England. I enjoyed working with these young people and they were eager to learn. I am a voracious reader and have been all my life. I am also a writer, I have had articles published in our Diocesan magazine and in the Franciscan Times, I am currently an assistant editor of Franciscan Times. To be honest I do not really have any experience of being a tutor. I am a senior at Reagan High school and for the most part I tutor other classmates and family members. Mostly recently I broaden my range to elementary to high school. I do very well in mathematics except for geometry, Pre-cal, abd calculus because i am not registered for those classes. I'm also good in science.
My teaching style varies from student to student. I like to get to know the student in order to maximize their understanding of the subject. Everybody does learn differently, so I am open to change for that said student.

My comments on tutoring World History : I have a degree in International Relations and have studied international world history extensively.

A Little Bit About Me...

I like to make songs that children can learn from and I also like to make colorful diagrams and charts that make it more easier to read and remember.

Reading Comprehension Tutor Seeks New Learners!

Turning your weakness into your strength

I help guide the student along, having them discover much of the information in a trial and error fashion. I tend to use the questions they are struggling with the most, making similar examples, then walking them through these problems and breaking down the problems until the student understands the how the process works.
I have been tutoring for over seven years, starting with my peers in tenth grade.
