Reading Comprehension Tutor Seeks New Learners!

My teaching style varies from student to student. I like to get to know the student in order to maximize their understanding of the subject. Everybody does learn differently, so I am open to change for that said student.
To be honest I do not really have any experience of being a tutor. I am a senior at Reagan High school and for the most part I tutor other classmates and family members. Mostly recently I broaden my range to elementary to high school. I do very well in mathematics except for geometry, Pre-cal, abd calculus because i am not registered for those classes. I'm also good in science.

My comments on tutoring World History : I have a degree in International Relations and have studied international world history extensively.

While in university I studied art history, studio art, and international relations. I was a teaching assistant for many art history classes, including renaissance, modern, and post modern art. I also was a teaching assistant for several studio art classes including drawing, photography, and silk screen. I also sturdied international relations in university, with an emphasis on the Middle East and Europe, particularly Cold War and terrorism. I have done school tutoring and some tutoring with younger family memebers who are dyslexic and who have ADHD. I havent had any exsperince with people outside of school and family but I found out that my ways of learning are very helpful and I think I can provide them to children who need helpin any subject.

Turning your weakness into your strength

I help guide the student along, having them discover much of the information in a trial and error fashion. I tend to use the questions they are struggling with the most, making similar examples, then walking them through these problems and breaking down the problems until the student understands the how the process works.
I have been tutoring for over seven years, starting with my peers in tenth grade. I have tutored a wide range of subjects, from Geometry through Calculus III, from general computer knowledge through utilizing the advanced functions of Microsoft Access. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a disciplinarian. I have an excellent ability to gain a students attention, keep it and the results of my students have been well above average. I have a knack to bring into the classroom, outside events (latest ball games, Olympics, etc.) to establish a 'bond' between myself and the student. I graduated high school in 2003 as the valedictorian of my class. I maintained my high level of academics in college but didn't know what I wanted to do for a career. I graduated in 2007 with my business degree and moved to NC. I worked for a mental health agency helping children in broken homes with school work and being a positive male role model as well as taking pre reqs to return to school for my masters degree in physical therapy.
