I love math. I find it fun, challenging, and very interesting. When I tutor students, I try to portray my excitement for the subject so they see that it is not intimidating and so they are more willing to work to solve a problem. My hight school math teacher encouraged me by her passion and I have taken that into how I tutor and help others. As a mathematics major, I worked in the math lab all four years of my college experience. I would tutor others with their math and help students study for exams. I have also tutored in junior high settings and this past summer I tutored a young girl in 7th grade math. I have also tutored while in high school.

My teaching style is to try make a confusing or intimidating subject matter such calculus or physics more understandable and approachable. I do this by breaking down the confusing topic into smaller and simpler sub-topics and showing how these sub-topics build into the final subject they are trying to comprehend. I am very patient and easy going. My goal is to provide a constructive and enthusiastic approach to a difficult subject. As a mechanical engineer I have a large amount of technical experience.
