At Adult Basic and Literature Education, I serve as a math and grammar tutor in the GED and ESOL programs. Also, I assist the students on how to obtain basic computer techniques so that they can operate the computer. I am able to communicate with Spanish-speaking students and read French. As for my technical, web designing, and software knowledge, I have a background in computer troubleshooting, Adobe Photoshop, HMTL, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etcetera. For five years, I was a substitute teacher for grades K-5 in English as a Second Language, Special Education and Art classes. My teaching style assesses in the student's learning ability to set the pace. Before beginning the next a review of the previous lesson is in order to be sure the prior lesson has been grasped. Each encounter with the students is an assessment for me as well as for the student of me. Positive reinforcement is a good way to keep students on point.
