German is one of my top subjects! I am a native German and am fluent in English and have studied French, Spanish, and Arabic before. Thanks to my years of studying foreign languages, I don't just know the German language as a native speaker but can also teach you how to learn the language and its grammar successfully.

My goal is to help you achieve your goals from improving your communication skills to reading, reading-comprehension, writing, and listening skills. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a senior in the Education program at Appalachian State University. As an Elementary Education major, I have worked closely with children from many age levels. I have participated in an after-school tutor/mentor program at Appalachian State in 2008. In 2009, I completed two internships while in the Education Program. One working with 2nd grade students and the other with 5th grade students. I have also taken many courses to understand context and teaching strategies in all subject areas.
I believe that children must be engaged in the subject matter before successful learning takes place. Finding fun, interesting, and personal ways for the child to connect to the topic will truly allow them a chance to learn and retain information. I love finding different ways for individual learners to understand what they are being taught.

Since children do have different learning styles, I have found that some of your beginning stages with them is figuring out how to effectively work with a student. After that discovery incorporating these learning styles in the lessons will aid in having successful learning experiences. This is my first goal as I begin to plan individual or small group lessons. Adjusting your plans and evaluating the lessons is also part as go forward with the varied students' learning styles. I seek to focus on how to aid their education, whatever styles are required.
