I have a good experience of tutoring hundreds of students over a decade period of time. I have tutored from first grade student to bachelors' degree students. I have formally taught students from grades four to ten for six months as a science teacher. Recently, I helped my wife in Anatomy and Physiology I and II and Lab and College Algebra. I have always excelled in school. My master's degree GPA is 3.8. my undergraduate degree GPA is 3.85. As a retired marine officer, I have had many opportunities to teach in a military environment. In addition, I served as the School Liaison Officer for the U. S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay School system for 3 years. During that time I also taught a college freshman English class for Troy State University aboard the base. Upon retirement, I tutored and mentored middle school students for 2 years. A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned two masters, one in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) and the other in Educational Leadership. I hold a Florida certification for ESE with English Speakers of other Languages (ESOL) endorsement. In addition to college courses I have completed College Board’s Springboard training and have successfully used it to help students increase test scores. I have taught all subject areas in middle school ESE settings for six years in a variety of classroom models.
I am very passionate about helping students learn. It is my belief that each student has his/her own learning style in which they process information. I believe in the use of technology and various hands on manipulative to increase learning ability. I feel that everyone has the potential to learn and retain the materials that are presented to them in the schools. Sometimes you just need someone to further explain the topic at hand. I have 17 years in the classroom and 5 years of education to attain this. I still make myself available to help any student who needs it even though I have left the classroom. I have also substituted for 3 years at all grade levels. I have had to write many papers during my educational experience. My students had to write essays as part of their testing and do extensive research to write papers to enhance their experience in the classroom.
