Graphic Design, including Web Design, is a phenomenal industry. It's fun to learn and DO! I try to do some explication, and then have the student try some exercises or venture out on their own. In the cases of multiple sessions, I DO assign homefun (as opposed to homework), so that the student will have some experience when next we meet. I am an experienced graphic and web designer. But in college I thought I was going to be either an English or History Professor, or an Attorney. That's why I studied lots of his History, English, and took the pre-law major Philosophy. I have several year of post-graduate classes as well. I started teaching Graphic Design in 2002, and brought into that Web Design, along with the skills that accompany them - HTML and CSS. I have previously taught dance lessons, choreographed a select number of routines, and have helped with Resume techniques for job scouting and placement. This is a course on graphics that can be molded to your preferred software of choice. This course is valued at the premium rate of $45 hr, and assumes that you have a basic understanding of typesetting parameters and measures. I spent six years in college studying a variety of subjects. Overall I did very well for myself. I have a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Art. The Emphasis is Graphic Design with a History minor. I am aware that it is a mouthful, but I wanted the history minor because I always have and always will love history. I think it is important to know and understand what occurred so we might avoid the same action in the future. I tend to let the student go at their own pace and help as needed.
