A Little Bit About Me...

My style does not vary greatly from one age level or ability level to another. The first priority is to find out what the student knows. Next I try to discover if there are any roadblocks preventing their success. For example, I once knew of a class who had missed an integral part of their math training the previous semester. Without this building block, they were unable to comprehend the new material. My goal is to start where the pupil is, wherever that may be, and build on their knowledge. I believe in positive reinforcement as the best motivator for anyone tackling a new lesson or skill.
