I am open to different tutoring/teaching styles to accommodate different peoples individual needs and differences in learning style.I am very passionate about teaching/tutoring and enjoy helping others and seeing them understand a concept that before may have been trivial to them. I have recently completed student teaching and have earned my teaching certificate as an art specialist. I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of students at different levels with varying abilities. I have had internships at the high school and elementary levels, with time spent both in the art classroom as well as the special education classroom. As a substitute teacher, I learned to manage an array of classrooms and assumed all duties of a regular classroom teacher. I try to understand the level of where the children are and build on that. I am patient, considerate, consistant, non-judgmental and feel it is not too early to start teaching or a child to learn. There is so much children can learn and we, as adults, can learn from them. I found working with young minds in different Early Childhood agencies is one reason for earning my Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. I am very passionate about teaching. I am a very hands-on type of teacher that really likes to get the student involved in their learning. I like to set goals for learning, but also find it important for students to set their own goals as well. I believe that all children can learn, no matter what. In order to be effective, I think it is important to recognize the students strengths and weaknesses before embarking on a certain learning path.
