Hello! Hajimemashite! I recently returned (June 2018) from my study abroad at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, or APU! I studied and lived there for about three years. My major was in Asia Studies and Japanese Culture, Society and Media. I was able to get an equivalent of N3 on the JLPT(Japanese Language Proficiency Test). My comments on tutoring Japanese : I am a native speaker of Japanese and I have been working as a Japanese language coach for almost a year now. I am passionate about teaching and I love meeting new people!

I always bring smiles to my class, and encourage students to speak and try to increase their speech time. One of the things I always do for my students is to praise their effort with my words or hand gesture to keep them motivate. I create a positive environment where students won’t hesitate to participate in a class. Listening to students patiently is one of the effort I put in when I teach, too. The most of all, creating a fun and an active environment with lots of smile is something I put my effort in the most on a daily basis for students’ motivation.

Japanese is one of my top subjects! Native Japanese

I'm half Japanese and half British. Previously worked in Japan, and still work with clients from the area. I've tutored Japanese since the age of 16, and enjoy the interactions with my students.
