I am a seasoned veteran of working for a large agency with multiple responsibilities across the State of Virginia. I have been tutoring, mentoring, teaching, training, and instructing on many subjects during my career. I have passion and dedication to whatever subjects I teach and I plan to impart a sense of enthusiasm in the subject matter with my students. I also teach coursework at the University level.
My approach is to encourage students to define their learning goals and then to discover how the learning the content can help them achieve their goals. I have been involved in various aspects of teaching and tutoring for the past 14 years. I went on to teach for one year before I entered into a graduate program at the University of Maryland, College Park. While in Maryland, I taught full-time and went to school full-time. As far as I can remember I have always appreciated quality education. As a small boy I remember going to the small local library in Portsmouth, Virginia where the Librarian once said that she knew that if she would only have one patron for the day that it would be me. I have worked in three libraries during my career. During college I was selected as a Librarian Assitant based on my interest, academic achievement and overall poitive conduct at the university.
