I taught them and their friends over the years. I taught sunday school children. I am very much driven to achieve a high level of excellence in education. Currently a junior at the University of Memphis, I am seeking a Bachelor's degree in English. I love to write, and have always been the dictionary for people, so my concentration is in Creative Writing. I have very high marks in all my English classes, (transcripts for which available upon request) and am currently 12,000 words into my first book. I have tutored children of many ages in the past, many of whom suffered with audio/visual difficulties such as dyslexia and other reading/comprehension difficulties. Each child who applied their tutoring lessons to their in-school learning excelled in their school work/grades.

A Little Bit About Me...

Reading and writing are, and have always been, enjoyable for me. However, I know that a lot of people do not feel the same way. My goal is to show students that if he or she can get past the miring details that oftentimes come with English, it can be pretty dang interesting. Since revealing the fun parts of English is my goal, I am not super strict nor do I expect students to master the subject material right away. Working on the learning level of students, my aim is to guide them as they themselves discover new subject material.

A Little Bit About Me...

I worked as a tutor coordinator for the YMCA tutoring children from the ages of 12-16. I helped them in basic studies to ensure that they had a grade of a C or better. My goal is to open up an after school program so that I can help students who may need tutoring after school get the grades that they need to pass on to the next level.
