Graduating from BYU-Idaho, I've learned that a quality education is of the utmost importance, not only for college-age students, but starting from infancy. I've earned my BS in Health Science, enabling me to have a greater knowledge of the health and wellness field in general. Also, I've learned to publish various professional research papers, adding to my grammatical, mathematical, and critical thinking skills. I also have a passion for languages--besides gaining fluent knowledge of Portuguese during my LDS mission, I've also learned Spanish and am currently learning Italian at home. Probably my greatest gift that I've been given in this life is my love for people. I believe this love manifests itself through my teaching and makes me a unique educator. I am dedicated to my students and I glory in their successes. I know I've done my job right if my student begins to enjoy the benefits of hard work. At the Central High School of Visual Arts in Puerto Rico I took art classes five days a week for six years for two hours besides all the other academic classes we took that were divided by day A and day B. I took general art the first three years and drawing and painting the last three years in which I got a certificate in. I learned to make artwork through the mediums of pencil, color pencil, watercolor and acrylic mostly. In college I took a cluster in art and learned to use oil paint where now I am selling my work at the mall on the main a store in Rexburg next to Ramirez. I have been a teacher and tutor for a few years. I taught in a high school English and Music. Right after I graduated High school I was asked to help struggling students and teach a bit when the teacher was gone. A Little Bit About Me...

I knew I wanted to be a teacher from the time that I was a Kindergartner. That may seem to be a silly dream for a five-year-old, but I have always loved education. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in April of 2010, and my Idaho Teaching Certificate in September of 2010. I am state certified to teach all subjects for grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. I have a musical background, mostly vocal, and experience with children who have ADD/ADHD and Tourette's Syndrome. I received high scores on the PSAT and ACT while in high school. I can provide proof of these if necessary. I received a 31 on the ACT (I would need to verify this, but I believe it is correct). I can teach students how to prepare for any test, including the ACT, GMAT, and SAT. I graduated from BYU Idaho in the top 5% of my class. I taught an intro class for incoming freshmen for 1 credit hour. I taught a LEED test prep class with 100% pass rate for all attendees. I have done informal tutoring in math, and I have received As in all math classes up to Calculus I. I have taught dance and art classes to pre-k and elementary children.
