A Little Bit About Me...

I have been tutoring since in High School when my fellow classmates were not understanding the subject matter. In college I would help students by making study guides that listed detailed notes on the subject mater. Through my use of detailed notes and study guides the past can be connected to the present and the future.
I liken history to a story there are so many interesting things that are either left out or forgotten. I feel that teaching History through passion and understandable connections make it interesting for everyone. I began teaching at Shepard Academy. I taught Social Studies to middle and high school students. Shepard was a small private school specializing in meeting the needs of students who had a variety of learning challenges. Many were diagnosed with ADHD or ADD. After a three year leave during which I stayed home with my children, I began teaching at Tallavana Christian School. I began my higher education at Tallahassee Community College in 1997. After receiving my AA Degree I transferred to F.S.U where I majored in Criminology with a minor in Spanish and graduated in 2003. Since that time, I've worked as a legal assistant/paralegal with different law firms in town. Recently, I decided to return to school and received my certificate in Massage Therapy.

As a college graduate I understand the importance of education. During my college career I was given the opportunity to travel to Darmstadt, Germany where I was a camp counselor to children's whose parents are in the military.
