A Little Bit About Me...

I liken history to a story there are so many interesting things that are either left out or forgotten. I feel that teaching History through passion and understandable connections make it interesting for everyone. So through the use of storytelling and detailed notes and study guides there is never a dull and misunderstood moment of history.

I began teaching at Shepard Academy. I taught Social Studies to middle and high school students. Shepard was a small private school specializing in meeting the needs of students who had a variety of learning challenges. Many were diagnosed with ADHD or ADD. After a three year leave during which I stayed home with my children, I began teaching at Tallavana Christian School. I was employed by the Interior Design department at FSU to teach undergraduate courses, being an instructor of record for the inital course for the department, Design Fundamentals. I have tutored many students and all have been successful in the classes they were being tutored.
Learning needs to have importance to a student. They need to understand why they need to learn the things they are being taught. Then it makes more sense to them.
