I have been in the education field for over 10 years. During that time I have tutored the verbal portion of the SATS, taught study skills, and reading. I also was an environmental education teacher at the Schuylkill Center for the Environment and volunteered in wildlife rehabilitation. I have began to help students in the 1960s when I was a grade school student adn when I volunteered at Get Set, where my mother worked as a full time teacher assistant. Later, I worked as a councilor as a summer-time employee of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania school system. I also volunteered, in the 1980s and the 1990s, at the Chapter Two Program of the YMCA and I volunteered as a tutor in the PASCEP program of Temple University in the 1990s.
