You have to be odd to be number one!

In the future, I want to work with kids, helping them to become successful and self expressive. A Little Bit About Me...

Of the essence in tutoring is to make the subject pertinent and fun, as well as applicable to everyday life. For small children, we have phonetics to help the child master sounds and words. I do use Ipod teaching games to involve the child actively. Obviously for older children, who may have trouble expressing themselves, increasing vocabulary usage is of the utmost importance, otherwise compositions are redundant and lacking depth/style. I enjoy sharing what I know and have learned with others. I have a 7 year old son and believe patience is a valuable characteristic of mine. I'm also very easing going and get along well with most people. When tutoring, I first attempt to help someone understand a subject especially chemistry as structured in the text book but whenever possible, if the situation requires, I will try to simplify the subject in any way possible until the student makes it over the hump and then the text version usually becomes more clear.
