A variety of methods are an important means to education as not all students experience the learning process in the same way. NLP, VAK, Multiple Intelligences, PACE system, Journaling, SuperLearning with Lazanov; relaxation tapes and tapes for particular learning needs I make myself for the students. I consider each student as "special" and work one on one with each one as I believe developing relationships is a must in all educational environments in preparation for their particular vocation. A Little Bit About Me...

My career in education began while attending CSUN. I started as a paraprofessional at a charter school, and also was able to teach my own elective classes. I graduated with a BA in Deaf Studies, with a concentration in Language and Culture. After moving to northern California, I worked at a college as an ASL interpreter. I went on to teach ASL at a private High School in San Francisco for 3 years. I am currently teaching Deaf students at the high school level. My educational background and specialty is primarily Deaf Ed. and ASL, however, I have a well-rounded knowledge of various subjects that I have used in education over the last 6 years.

After completing my biology and chemistry degree, I volunteered for 18 months in impoverished areas in California. Following this I decided to start teaching. While at Utah State University I completed both a Masters program and a second undergraduate program simultaneously. I am currently licensed to teach high school science. After graduate school in the summer of 2003, I taught art at the Pathfinder Ranch in Idyllwild, CA for ten hours a day for three months with a very limited budget. From 2003-2004, I taught on-line students and acted as an academic enrollment counselor for high school students and their parents at Laurel Springs School, a home school in Ojai, CA.
