A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned two bachelor degrees which has given me the chance to motivate other youths and kids to seek the world and don't let it end with High school. There is more to life. Granting that Education is the key to success and without education there will be no sense of direction.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have my BA in Natural Science and a Minor in Biology from UH Hilo. I then persued a Masters degree in Education and focused on Special Education. I have done a variety of power point reports and researches and have done extensive researches on various areas in the education field. I enjoy working with the students and having the teachers teach me.

I have tutored a handful of high school students in English and Mathematics. My personality in my social life is outgoing, friendly, and talkative. My tutoring style is no different. In my own schooling experience, I've found that I learn quicker and most efficiently when the person teaching me is more of a friend than a superior. The students I've tutored looked at me as a peer who could help them with their studies as opposed to a teacher. After a childhood filled with the joys of reading I graduated from college with a BA in English. While I have continued to enjoy reading and writing, my interest turned to biology, specifically aquaculture where my area of expertise is shrimp breeding and farming. Through my work in shrimp culture I have traveled to Vietnam, Indonesia and India to teach shrimp and algae rearing to technicians in hatcheries.Now, while occasionally traveling as a consultant to shrimp hatcheries, I have returned to school to study substance abuse counseling.
