I have had 5 years of different math classes. I have always passed with either an A or B. Math has always been my favorite subject. I have taken pre-algebra, algebra 1, algebra 2, and geometry. With writing, I prefer that your child do a rough draft before meeting with me so that I can show them what they are doing wrong and how to fix it.
In high school, I was frequently the one that people came to for help. It was then that I realized I was extremely good at teaching. I spent a lot of my work there helping high school students get ready for the math portion of the SAT, but I also worked with students on their school studies (in calculus, college and high school algebra, and geometry). I'm an assertive motivator. Learning should not be repulsive, children love to learn by examples that they can relate to.
