Math is one of my top subjects!

I am a senior college student at Northern Kentucky University. I have been a Certified Substitute and Classified teacher's aide at Owen County Schools for 2 years. Also, I have obtained a college "area of concentration" in educational studies at NKU, with a major in Organizational Leadership which will be completed in May 2012.
Teaching style consists of a more visual approach to ensure students can see the process of how problems/questions can be answered rather than just trying to explain. Multiple strategies can be used, especially in the Elementary Math field.

My comments on tutoring Math : After teaching high school math for 16 years, I started pursuing my doctorate in mathematics education. After 16 years of high school classroom teaching experience in Missouri, I decided to pursue my doctorate in education at UK. I'm certified in secondary math grades 7-12 in both Missouri and Kentucky and have 4 years of college level teaching as well. I also taught the secondary Practicum for prospective math, science, social studies, and language arts teachers. I earned an educational specialist (ABD) from the University of Kentucky. Now I own a tutoring business and handle the business side of an art gallery for the creative side of my brain to have a little fun!

I can make learning fun, No Doubt!

I have learned many teaching styles. Each student learns differently, so there is a technique to apply to very learning style to accommodate individual needs.

I attended Thomas More College on an academic scholarship and graduated with honors in the spring of 2011 with a BA in Environmental Science. Presently, I am pursuing a Master of Biology degree at the University of Cincinnati, where I hold a University Graduate Scholarship as well as a Yates Scholarship. Young inexpensive tutor with modernized teaching strategies
