My comments on tutoring Aerospace Engineering : My major is Engineering Physics at ERAU; this is like A.E. but more strenuous and space focused

In my experience as a student, I have often questioned the teaching methods of many teachers and professors. I sometimes realize more effective ways things could be explained, once I understand it. I am patient and sympathetic with those who misunderstand a concept. I enjoy the challenge of applying my ability to explain a topic from multiple angles of comprehension.
I was raised on a farm in Iowa and attended school there until I was 13. In Zephyrhills, Fl, I was awarded valedictorian status for the class of '09. At Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University of Daytona Beach, Fl, I am a senior in the Accelerated Master's of Science in Engineering Physics degree program. I have earned my Masters in Management and Information Systems from New York University and my two Bachelors degree (BS in Aviation Maintenance Management, Bachelor of Technology in Aeronautical Technology)from the College of Aeronautics while working full time and taking care of my family of four children. Students learn best from doing things. I try not to lecture, but to involve the student in the learning process. I can lecture, but I haven't found it to be as effective as other methods. I very much prefer tutoring to classroom teaching, mostly because I am helping people learn what they want to learn, and solve problems they are having troubles with.
I have worked part time as an adjunct instructor since the '70s, including 22 years with the Orlando Program of Florida Southern College, and 11 years with Valencia Community College. The later provided me with dozens of short courses in education.
