German is one of my top subjects! I am a graduate student at the University of Kansas pursing a Masters degree in Curriculum and Teaching to become a German teacher in the secondary level. I have studied German for the last 2 years studying abroad in Regensburg, Germany for 6months. I love the German language and would absolutely enjoy tutoring anyone of all ages in the language!

I have completed up to level 6 (6 semesters) of German at the University level and have been studying German for the past 3 years. I have studied abroad in Germany for 6 months. I'm pursuing my Master's in Curriculum and Teaching to become a German teacher at the secondary level. My joy in life is learning the German language and I hope to become more and more proficient in order to become fluent!

A Little Bit About Me...

When I had the opportunity to design and teach a Vo-Tech. School program from the ground up, I realized my love and passion for teaching and making a difference in the lives of my students. Being semi-retired with lots of time available, I am living out my passion by substitute teaching middle and high school students in my local school district. With a rich science and english background, I feel I can make a difference by helping those less fortunate academically in many areas.
I have a passion for teaching students of all ages, especially 4th grade and up. I love teaching and working with students of all ages. I particularly enjoy watching a student's eyes light up after catching on to something new. I know all students learn in different ways, but I believe most people learn best when they are relaxed and enjoying themselves. I also believe it is important, especially for math, tasks be completed multiple times for the ideas to really be remembered. I believe making students explain the material to someone else is an effective way to gauge understanding. Most importantly, I truly care about students as people.
