A Little Bit About Me...

I am in my 4th year of college at Texas State University where I have received a mathematics academic achievement award. I am going to Texas State majoring in mathematics and minoring in secondary education. I have completed many math courses as well as teaching courses since I have been at Texas State. I have not professionally tutored before but I have a younger sister who I help with her Pre Algebra homework. I also have two younger cousins that I have helped with homework as well.

I believe there is a major difference between teaching the student how to get a good grade and mastering the fundamental concepts that control math and science. When helping a student with Algebra, it is critical to asses their basic skills in mathematical operations. With chemistry, physics and biology it is often a matter of increasing the student’s vocabulary and understanding of the complex terminology and relationships presented by the teacher and the classroom book.
