A Little Bit About Me...

Since attending college, I have been infatuated with teaching. To learn the best strategies for teaching chemistry to students, I took a course entitled, “Instructional Techniques in Chemistry,” and served as the sole laboratory instructor for two sections of general chemistry during my undergraduate studies. I have taught non-science major undergraduates, continuing education high school teachers, undergraduate chemistry majors, and graduate students in biochemistry and cell biology. During high school I took several AP tests and at the same time earned the International Baccalaureate diploma, so I understand very well the pressures involved. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been actively involved in Church youth work for the past twenty years. During that time I have mentored two to three high school students per year in algebra, chemistry, biology and physics. Basic math and science is critical to their future success in our hi-tech world and if they are willing to learn, I am willing to teach. Teaching has always been part of my professional career and I authored several technical training manuals during my years as the senior research engineer for Mobil Oil.
