Although, I have never been in charge of my own class room I consider my teaching style energetic. I love working with students of all ages and find that teaching methods and styles tend to adapt to those individual students. I think it is important to be encouraging and patient with all students. I believe in a hand on approach where students learn from experiences and doing rather than being lectured. I enjoy watching children learn and grow. I believe there are different teaching techniques for each individual student. I have come to learn this because of my younger sibling who didn't fit into the mold of a typical public school student. I am a firm believer in trying new things and new approaches.
As a Bowling Green State University student who has studied Communication Disorders I have come across many experiences with children. Communication Disorders not only includes speech, but language as well. I have gained knowledge about how children read and write and why some children may have problems with this.
