A Little Bit About Me...

I have a bachelor’s degree from UC Davis in Renewable Natural Resources and a Clear Single Subject Credential in Biological Sciences and Foundational Math (all but calculus). I have home schooled my children, worked in a private school both tutoring and teaching and taught in a public high school over the last 22 years. I have tutored groups and individuals in the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Calculus, Trigonometry, History, English, and all subjects down to the second grade level. Too many students these days give up too easily when their studies get a little challenging. I want to be able to show students that it's the challenge in their studies that make their courses more worth while and memorable. I am approachable, social with all ages, and able to communicate well and accordingly to respective age groups. I encourage students to be honest with their troubles in academics. I have a passion for learning, teaching and helping others. I have earned a BS in mathematics as well as a MAE. I have over ten years of experience tutoring third grade through twelfth grade students and I am in my third year of teaching in public high schools.
