I am a higher education professional who has come to believe that the best way to impact students is to return to teaching. I have a long-standing interest in the philosophy of teaching. I am particularly impressed by "deep learning," a movement that emphasizes critical thinking and inquiry at all levels of teaching. I have been driven my entire life to assist others. I started working in the health care industry as a CNA, 1979. I then went to college and obtained my social work degrees. I worked in various settings to include nursing homes, mental health centers, prisons, adolescent group homes and currently home health care, 1987 to 2009.
