I graduated in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University, and taught fourth grade for 3 years. I relocated to accommodate my husbands job. I've been tutoring since high schools in a wide range of subjects, such as latin, algebra II, and biology. The skills you use to teach yourself the material can be directly applied to someone else, especially when you find something does not click at first. I have a number of mnemonics for helping my tutees retain the material they've spent time learning. In college I don't tutor professionally because of time constraints, but I help other students understand problems they may be having difficulty with. I've also had my own SAT tutor and seen different programs and their styles, and I've chosen the one that I find the most effective.

I have 6 years of substitute teaching experience in the Washoe County School District in Nevada, as well as at a charter school.
