My comments on tutoring GRE : I ran a study group for 6 months before a group of my classmates and myself took the new GRE. I'm more proficient in reading comprehension/vocabulary (scored in the 77th percentile) than in the math topics.

I believe that an appreciation of art and its history is best cultivated by examining the major themes and tropes of past art and design and structurally linking it to the social history and art of later periods and when possible to local art. I have a broad education in all periods of art, but I'm most proficient with art from the mid 18th-21st centuries. While earning my M.F.A. I took an advanced course in the pedagogy of teaching writing, which focused on the teaching of remedial writers. I worked in the university's Writing Center as a consultant while also teaching a first-year composition course, and went on, after earning my degree, to teach college writing full time. At the Writing Center, I worked one-on-one with students to improve papers assigned for subjects as diverse as Biology, Economics, and Dancing. In addition, I have nearly ten years of experience editing literary magazines, and I wrote monthly articles for two different local magazines for two years.
