My personal teaching philosophy is that there is no teaching without learning. Most classroom studies are at least partly removed from their intended application, for reasons of assuring comprehensive competency and because of the educational structure, i.e. attending school comes in advance of and separately from applying one’s knowledge. However, learning a language,for example and especially while living in it has both a need for constant practice and occasion for immediate application. The broader linguistic community has thusly prioritized practical teaching methods, of which I wish to avail myself.
