I started my college career at Drake University as a Mass Comunications major. I changed schools and recieved a double major in Business and Economics. I have 3 kids 15,11,10 and have helped them extensively, and all are excellerated students. I enjoy helping kids understand their subjects and obtaining the power to master their learning potential.
I enjoy working with children, and believe that all kids have the ability to achieve anything. As long as their mentors can give them an extra boost to understand certain concepts their ability to accomplish their projects and earn exceptional grades are endless. Anyone can learn any skill that they are willing to work at. I personally prefer to learn by doing, so that is also how I teach. When a student works through examples, discussing how concepts apply, that application of the concept helps to solidify the knowledge. I am patient when teaching, and I believe that a relaxed environment is best for learning. Communication is the key to both teaching and learning.
I earned a Bachelors degree in accounting, with clusters in Finance and Spanish. I have work experience in auditing, tax and financial analysis.
