Especially those that are from low income families and different cultures. I have volunteered tutoring children after school. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a college graduate of University of West Florida’s college of Building Construction and Engineering Technology. I have taken calculus 1 through 3, statics, dynamics, strength of materials, thermodynamics and many other math involved courses. I am not a complicated person and like to keep things basic and easy. Math is not hard, it is just simply following an accumulation of rules to get to an answer. Getting the answer to a question may give the big picture of what is trying to be achieved for some, but not for everyone. I can help explain the steps in getting the correct answer for a test and explain the big picture.

I graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor degree in Elementary Education and then received my Master's degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Educational Technology. I have done extensive work in the technology department at our school and continue to work with SMART products teaching other teachers how to use technology in their classrooms.
I love teaching children using hands-on and interactive techniques. I am also a personal trainer in my spare time so I try to incorporate moving into lessons because I think children work well when they can move around and really apply what they are learning to something they really like to do. I use technology constantly in my teaching and have found that my students really apply themselves more when they enjoy the fun that learning brings!
