Every child can learn, but they don't all learn the same way

I have been teaching for over 10 years. I am currently a second grade teacher. I tutor during the summers and have students of all ages, including middle school and high school. I believe all children can learn. It takes a special teacher to find out how a child learns and create lessons to engage that learning style. What works for one student doesn't always work for every student. I am a loving and positive teacher by nature. My comments on tutoring Life Science : Another name for biology. B.S. Biology

When you study a biological concept your study process needs to be organized. Most of my tests when I started taking upper level courses covered over at least 100 to 200 pages in the textbook. You need to learn how to break it down in to smaller sections while using your notes from class to predict the most important information to know thoroughly for your next test. The ability to predict what will be on your test is what separates A from C students. I can also help you cram like a pro if your in a jam.
I have a degree in biology. I was planning on going to medical school at one point so I focused on human anatomy and human physiology. I currently have a bachelors degree in sociology with a minor in elementary education. During the past 4 years and working in the early childhood education industry I realized that many teachers were not getting the proper training that they needed to receive to help the children that they are serving. From early on in my high school career I understood that passing AP tests could mean graduating from college in 3 years, saving money for grad school, and a chance to get into the professional world sooner. That's exactly what I did. I had to take some summer school and intersession classes, but I endured. All the while I was involved with an organization on campus that worked to educate the student body on a number of environmental issues, worked with volunteers on events and campaigns, and trained my peers to take the same leadership that I did.
