I believe that all students learn differently and should be treated as so; with this being said i believe that each student should work at their own pace and should be helped to find strategies that help them learn.
I currently have a bachelors degree in sociology with a minor in elementary education. During the past 4 years and working in the early childhood education industry I realized that many teachers were not getting the proper training that they needed to receive to help the children that they are serving. Once I realized this I decided to work on my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education in hopes that i could be an Early Childhood College Professor and teach students the ins and outs of the early childhood industry. My teaching style is based largely on the priority academic student skills for Oklahoma. I have used Alpha Plus, Study Island, Destination Success by Riverside, Literacy First, You Can Learn, and Buckle Down software and written materials. I utilize several self motivating materials. I teach them how to acquire relevant data, how to retain it,and retrieve prior knowledge. My strength, is giving students a sense of pride, accomplishment, and building their self esteem. A Little Bit About Me...

I have had a wide range of teaching experiences. I have taught in the public school as well as private school. I have tutored children from the grades of kindergarten through fourth grade. I have taught overseas as well where the population was mainly Asian students.
I like the one on one aspect of tutoring. I enjoy teaching, but I really like tutoring because I get to know the child and am able to help him/her with his or her specific area of need. I like to make learning fun by playing learning games with the student. I am a Christian and I believe all children are unique and have their own abilities. A Little Bit About Me...

I have five years experience as a certified early childhood teacher in the state of Oklahoma. I have tutored children from grades pre-k through 12th grade during this time, as well. I have a Master's Degree in Education from UCO. My degree emphasis is in reading. I am trained to diagnose and treat reading disabilities.
