As a substitute teacher I never really was able to develop a specific style of teaching. Each teacher had their own way of doing things and each class was different. However, I feel the best way for anyone to learn be it adult or student is to let the student take the lead. I would give them the instructions as to what needs to be accomplished, let them do the work, and be there for any questions or assistance that would be needed.
I earned a bachelors in management in 1994 after earning 2 Associate Degrees; one in Paralegal Studies and the other in Legal Secretarial Studies.
