My teaching style is flexible, tailored to the specific needs of the student in question. Everybody learns differently and at different paces!
I've been a teacher's unofficial little helper since I was in Elementary, helping the students of my class that the teacher simply didn't have the extra time to help. From then on, I helped and even eventually taught my younger siblings when the current school system left them in the dust, and even helped them get a leg up and advance faster than their classmates. I've tutored a few younger kids in various subjects in my high school years, as well as occasionally teaching Taekwondo classes.

A Little Bit About Me...

I was a single parent to a son with cerebral palsy and "tutored" him through elementary, middle and high school as well as a community college. With his disability, my son required hands on help and patience and encouragement which I think I supplied with success.

A Little Bit About Me...

My initial post high school education interests were in communications. Although life and a need for money took me in very different direction than I originally planned, I believe my years of broadcast experience could be helpful in helping tutor others in their reading skills. I have written scripts and news copy that i then read professionally on air. I am an avid reader and think the only thing greater than the joy of reading is helping someone else to do so.
