I left Oakland in 1996, and taught for nine more years in Berkeley. A Little Bit About Me...

I achieved an AA degree at Florida Community College at Jacksonville. I am currently continuing my education at Florida State University where I am pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Biology. I will graduate in Spring of 2010. After, I will continue to Dental School to become a dentist.
I enjoy teach with all different age levels. Most recently, I taught 4th grade science through the FSU Teach Program. It is not good enough to blindly teach everyday, without proving you are making progress within the skills you are teaching. Once data is disaggregated to show which skills need the most frequent and intense focus, the skill is taught, and then tested again. The next step is determined by the result of the post test; either the skill is re-taught or enrichments are given. I also believe heavily in the use of group work and student teaching/ interaction.
