I taught an Introductory Geology lab for 2 years. I have been tutoring out side of that for the last year or so. I have tutored elementary students all the way up to college students. I have enjoyed each of my teaching and tutoring roles very much. Teaching young people is particulaly rewarding as it provides the opportunity to motovate and make a positive impact on the lives of people who have a long future to give back to society.
I have over 37 years experience managing peoply in Supply Chain management and material acquisition. In this role I designed and wrote courses. Using Power Point presentations I taught courses in my field to over 100 students in classes as small as ten to as large as fifty. I believe patience is key when teaching difficult concepts. I also strive to present ideas from varied perspectives. For example, many mathematical constructions can be understood either geometrically, algebraically, or analytically. Although my bachelor's degree is in psychology, my interests throughout my education have been to study children; how they learn, how they think, and what I can do to help them better themselves.
