I love working with children of all ages. I really like elementary age children. I have a hands-on approach to education. After receiving my teaching certificate from the State of California, I taught in Oakland, California public schools for nine years, and was appointed a Mentor Teacher. I left Oakland in 1996, and taught for nine more years in Berkeley. I became known as an outstanding teacher of writing and reading, and also served as School Literacy Coach, leading monthly workshops for teachers in the best practices for English literacy. As graduating with a degree in the Psychology field I have come to understand children better.
