My comments on tutoring Drama : I have my Associate of Arts degree in Theatre and Communications, so I know how important it is to convey emotion as well as physicality within the context of the theatre as well as real life. I love the creative arts and love helping others understand all the beauty it has to offer.

I have my A.A. degree in Theatre and Communications and will be receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing with a minor in Film Studies in December of 2012. I have experience with children ranging from grades K-12th. I have been a Teacher's Aide since 2004 and a Summer Counselor since 2006. I am also bilingual and although it is not on my list for tutor availability, I do have experience in the language barriers concerning English and the Spanish language. I am Cuban American and wouldn't trade that for the world. It allows me to enjoy the cultures around me as well as given me a thirst to explore new ones. I am the author of five historical novels and a number of articles, poems and short stories. I occasionally do short “residences” teaching Language Arts and Drama to special needs students in k-12 schools for VSA Arts of Florida. My graduate studies emphasized American and Tudor/Stuart History. My doctorate included a Criminal Justice minor. I regularly teach writing and grant writing seminars to adults, usually through libraries on weekends or in the evening.

All learning starts with a question, both by teacher and student alike. My role is both as teacher (coach and guide) and student (questioner). I should employ a variety of questioning techniques to better understand strengths and weaknesses, then prescribe remedies tailored for individual strengths and weaknesses, facilitating the learning process and desired outcome.
