Online Math Tutor

I only teach online on an hourly basis. When I teach I don't just answer the questions my students ask of me rather let them understand it for themselves. Also, I encourage them to think and analyze too so that I would know where they are weak. I also develop their interest in learning the subject . That being said, I make learning fun and appealing.

I don't have one specific teaching style... I believe the style should be developed based on observing how the student learns best. One style would not be successful with all students. I like to spend a couple of weeks trying out methods and seeing which ones work best, then develop a method that specially fits your students learning ability.
I have five plus years experience in tutoring students of all ages in all areas of math. I have tutored in math ranging from pre-algebra to calculus, and I also have experience in working with students with learning disabilities. I enjoy a challenge, and I enjoy helping students to see math in a different light. It does not have to be hard when you can make it fun. I have tutored for a non-profit organization, Life Christian Church, as an after school program on Wednesdays free to the community. I have also taught English and History to home school students. One of the biggest accomplishments was watching of the students who detested writing papers because he did not believe he could do it, grow into a man who is not writing weekly papers confidently. My comments on tutoring College Algebra : I have taken several college Algebra courses and I have done well in each class.

I just recently graduated California State University with a degree in Liberal Studies. Within this degree I chose to emphasize on mathematics because I want to become a high school math teacher. I have taken every course from Algebra-Intermediate Calculus. I am highly experienced in Algebra 1 and Geometry. I have been working at a probation school for a year and a half with at risk middle school and high school students. One of my many obligations is to help my students in math. I mainly tutor my students in Algebra 1 and Geometry.
