I am in my last quarter at Cal Poly State University and will be finished taking all my classes on March 18th, 2010. I am getting a BA in Business with a concentration in finance. For my senior project, I am taking the first exam of the CFA (chartered financial analyst) program, which covers a broad amount of material including economics, financial accounting, statistics, portfolio management, asset valuation, fixed derivatives, alternative investments, and corporate finance. I like to teach my students giving them real examples of the topic viewed in class that day. I give them all the tools and information needed and then try to ask questions in regard to the topic and create a more interactive environment where they can feel free to ask and participate. Some times I bring them up front to resolve mathematical problems or just for their seats to come up with the answer.
