A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a substitute teacher for about 10 years specializing in math & physics. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering plus 20+ years of maintenance/engineering experience. I incorporate practical examples in teaching to give students in depth knowledge in a practical sense. I gather my examples from my varied career experiences from the Military, Aircraft, Engineering, Manufacturing/Maintenance & Computer fields. I sporadically tutors students in my specialty.
I use the Active Participation strategy because it engages the learner not only in understanding but in contributing as well. This active learning process combined with introduction of practical uses/examples of the the subject matter provides a deeper meaning.
