Hi! My name is Andrew Hoover and I started tutoring Mathematics/Science during my sophomore year in High School. Since then, I have continued to help others within my classes up until I reached community college. It was in 2008 that I became a certified tutor for Fresno City College, where I have been ever since. I tutor a wide range of subjects, from algebra to philosophy (Symbolic Logic) and even biology/chemistry. I have also held several workshops on various topics spanning study skills to subjects I have mentioned previously.
I prefer teaching/tutoring in a way that I actually draw the answer out of the student, whether immediate or prolonged. Another method I frequently employ is actually having the student "teach" step by step the process in solving any particular question, in which I have received quite a bit of positive feedback on.
