While some teachers favor a direct instruction approach, I try to tailor my instruction to the growing and diverse needs of each student. Some are more auditory learners than others, therefore, for those you would need a lot of teaching by rote, i.e "do as I do", so to speak.
My paid professional teaching experince includes one year working as a Special Education Paraprofessional for 2-4 grade stundents classified with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. My undergraduate degree from Valdosta State University was in music education.

I love teaching and working with all chldren. Upon my graduation from UNC Chapel Hill, I worked various jobs; however, I could not find fulfillment in what I experienced. I decided upon moving to Charlotte in March 2006 to go into Secondary Teaching in English. I gained an excellent education at UNC Chapel Hill and UNC Charlotte. I have one year of public teaching experience and two years of tutoring experience.
I have been told often I am especially patient, which I believe is one of the most important qualities for a teacher to have.
