My teaching style is to show students how to make themselves successful. By motivating my students to do their best every time I can help them exceed expectations and thrive under any situation both academically and socially. Many students focus on what they think they cannot do. What I teach them is to highlight their strengths and improve their weaknesses. I do so with the use of clear directions, constant monitoring, and positive praise. I believe every child can learn it is merely a matter of finding the proper teaching method.
As a University of South Florida college of education graduate I have a wealth of experience with teaching both in the classroom and on a one to one basis. I enjoy teaching and working with children and feel that it is important to understand that not all students learn the same way. I feel that my college experience has taught me to discover the ways I learn and understand things. In that sense I feel that all students have the potential to succeed if they acknowledge and become aware of their appropriate manner of learning. I think that being patient, compassionate and understanding is a must, which I feel I can bring fourth as a tutor and mentor. Doing community service in high school to my college years I have always enjoyed working and helping others because of the rewarding feeling that you can make a difference in someone's life.
